Yes, of course
I have told you many times, I like to provide the help not ask for it. And I have been humbled recently to reach out for and accept help.
Tonight I reached out to a friend from church potentially asking for help and the answer was “Yes of course”. It stopped me and has me thinking in other ways.
There are people in our church family that we as a community take care of. We see a need and we want to be there to help. But these same people like to help in the ways they are able to.
I sit here tonight after I truly put myself out there asking for help. I did it and I am not comfortable with doing it. But I am learning the lesson that there are times you can be the one to give help and be there for someone when they need the help. In those times I can be the hands and feet of Jesus. At other times, I need to learn to reach out for help and let others be the hands and feet of Jesus. I just wish it wasn’t so hard.
