A beautiful connection
Today I witnessed the power of connection. There is a young teen in our parish who I have been talking to about a variety of things, a variety of emotions. We got together today to talk. Now I’m a mom and I deal with the emotions as a mom. I don’t feel in a counseling position as I can give advise or guide. I simply talk and act like mom.
Today one of our older teens was around and I asked her to join us. Talk about God putting two people together. Each are the oldest with many younger siblings. Each has a grandfather they don’t really know dying. Each have or are embarking on a completely new high school adventure. The connections or as said the parallels were amazing. At one point in the conversation I was lost. I have spoken to each of these girls about life and what they deal with. Yet at one point I felt like the Twilight Zone. Didn’t girl A tell me the same thing as girl B.
Regardless a connection was made. The older girl, Girl A told me before she left that at times she has felt trapped. She told girl B she was there for her and to never feel she was trapped and they would go for coffee or meet under the tree and talk.
Once again, I marvel at the power of God. I am once again grateful to be a conduit for his work. I loved watching the connection form today. Once again I feel blessed to witness the awesomeness of God.
