I know

I know

I know as soon as I open the door between the garage and the basement if Joe knows I am home.   If the light is on, he is standing directly at the top of the stairs.   If not, he doesn’t know I am home and I can easily get up the stairs and put my stuff done.

So tonight I entered the basement and the lights were on.   As I crossed the basement through the gauntlet of dorm room cast offs, the light flicked on and off in strobe light fashion!

After making it safely across, I looked up the stairs at him.   I tried to sound calm as I asked what he was doing.   “ I didn’t know if this was the right switch.  I just kept trying”.
Strobe lights done.  Thank God I don’t have a seizure disorder.   Ask Joe if he can move so I can get up the stairs.    “So how was your day” he says.    Eyes closed, deep breath, pray for patience, okay ready to talk.
