A Break

This afternoon Joe came home and said thigh to thigh and tried to sit closer. Repeatedly he put his face in front of mine saying he loved me. At one point he called my name and when I answered he said “Oh there you are”. Five seconds before we had been talking.

Tonight I added new songs to my play list. I got him through our bedtime routine. I turned off the lights and put my air pods in. Only to hear “Hey did I tell you…”. We talked and I put the air pods back in “Are you right there?” We talk some more.

I don’t know how much more I can take. And I also wonder what I will be like when he is gone.
