Time to work from home
The news this morning was even though there are only six of us in the office, we really need to start to work from home. We will start a rotation of being in the office for two days each to answer phones and keep the office up and running. At the time it was a bright, sunny morning. I was excited to be able to go home and take Kate's dog for a long walk.
By the time Daisy and I were halfway through the walk the clouds had really started to fill in and the wind had started. We continued and though cold we made it over 4 miles. While I was walking I pondered working from home. It is not like we have a big house. Joe has the news on all the time he is awake. Eric plays video games with other people and has been known to be loud. I don't mind this when I can go out on the deck and work but in the house is going to get interesting.
I cleaned out the corner near my night stand, found a thinner folding table in the basement along with a desk chair no longer used. I then created in this small corner my temporary office. I brought in the lap top and my work materials. Kate and Daisy came in and sat on the bed. Kate started talking to me about her wedding and what Adam is doing today. Next Eric came in and started to play with Daisy. This was shortly followed by Joe who wanted to know what was going on. It was a great start to working from home.
Kate eventually decided to go take a shower. Daisy fell asleep on my bed. Eric came back and asked me if I was comfortable, did I want more M&Ms, did I need a better back pillow. So maybe work from home has some advantages.
