It's Up to Me

It's Up to Me

We were so close to an empty nest.   Just two years away and we were going to spend days walking the beach.   We love the beach.   It wouldn’t matter the season but summer, winter, spring or fall we were going to take days off together and head to the beach.

We would walk the beach when the kids were in school.   I would see little
Ones with their parents and grandparents having fun in the early September waves.    I always pictured that as Joe and I.   I always thought we would take our grandkids to vacation on the beach.  I thought we would build sandcastles and boogie board while Mom and Dad had time to relax.

He recently told me he isn’t afraid to die but first he wants to know his grandkids.   I may have to be the one to tell them how much their Papa loved them and wanted to spend every minute he had with them but was lost way too soon.   It is going to be my job to share him with them.   I need to let them know how much he wanted them and he wanted to share in all that they are.

I am Woman...

I am Woman...

Oh how he hovers

Oh how he hovers
