In a Second
Everything was fine. Nothing seemed out of place. I was scrolling Facebook, Liz went to get something from the attic and Joe freaked. I can’t remember what actually happened. I just know he rushed down the hall and I knew something was wrong and raced after him.
He had no idea what came over him. He thought someone had run by him. He felt threatened. But then as he calmed down he thought he hit me or hit Liz.
It happened so fast and I tried to calm them both. Liz remembers yelling “Stop”. She didn’t think he was going to hit her but grab her. But it is the first time in her life that Dad scared her. Two hours later and we are still texting about it.
