I love who we were

I watch you tonight and I remember who we started as and who we were. We met in college as just kids. We had the same life goals but such different taste in music. We could talk about anything and everything. We made all of our decisions together. No matter what we were a team. It was you and me against everything that came at us. The thing I loved most about our relationship was I could tell you anything.

It hurts to not tell you I am going to Ireland to watch our daughter get her white coat. It hurts to make these plans without you. I want it to be us again. I want to be able to talk to you about everything. Life changes. Our relationship has changed. Sometimes I am angry at you for leaving me. But then you ask me a question and I know you still need me. We made a vow to each other. If it was reversed I know you would stand by me no matter what. So to honor you i will stand with you for what you need from me. And I thank God for all who stand by us.
