He won't shower

I started before dinner telling Joe he has his program tomorrow, why don’t you go shower?   It was met with a eye roll and really.   I responded that with the holiday and snow storm you haven’t been in a week.  Please take a shower.   No go.  

We had dinner.  I took a shower.   I tried again.   He closed his eyes then looked down.  Why won’t you take a shower I asked.   Why should I?   I did just a few days ago.   I asked what if people notice you smell.   But he countered with who cares.    I told him when I did the laundry I had twelve pairs of clean underwear he had three.   That didn’t make a difference.    Again he said who cares.  I in what my kids call my passive aggressive phase asked “ Really even if it is me?”    He just looked at me.   And I just left.
