Lieutenant Jerkface

Today was no different than most Saturdays.  I spent about four hours on the phone catching up with my girls. 

 Liz and I talk first due to the time change from here to Ireland.   During the call Liz asked if Adam was off quarantine yet.   I said he was and back to work but have you heard what he did while on quarantine.    I shared that Adam had completed Organic Chemistry 2 in three weeks.    I was completely unprepared for Liz’s response.   After the sputtering and grunts came “Jerkface” that “Lieutenant Jerkface”.   How can he do that?   That’s not normal.   I bet he blew the curve also.   I’m in Vet School and if I tried that my mind would blow up.   And on and on.   It was so funny.    I never expected the complete outrage she felt.   As she started to cool down she said she was going to tell Mark he wasn’t the one who married the nerd it was Kate.    That set her off again and led the tirade to can’t wait to tell her vet friends this one.   

After a short breather I talked to Kate.   I told her about her husband’s new name.   Once I told her why she just started laughing.   Only to tell me he had received an A in the class and has moved on to “Bio something”.   Biochem, I asked.   That is what he said was his last prerequisite before taking the MCAT and applying to Med school.   Could be that she answered.   I just know it starts with bio. Kate told me after all the angst she has heard about Organic Chemistry from her parents, sister, aunt and uncle, she was really surprised at how easy it came to Adam!    Now that was below the belt!
