I struggle
So, I know we are all a part of the Catholic Church and we all want the same end. We want to grow our faithful, we want to strengthen our families. But, in this pandemic I am so grateful to be where I am.
I feel we are looking outside the box. We have talked to our catechists (teachers). We polled our parents. We are preparing for a mix of live versus virtual depending on the virus level. We prepared a video for elementary only for Father T to tell us it was boring. He was right. We tried harder. We learned more. We pushed ourselves. The video we came up with is so incredibly much better than attempt one.
Again tonight I watched our parish ceremony of Confirmation. Again I was struck by so many different aspects not always seen in multi parish gatherings. Once again I see the silver lining to this pandemic.
At the end of the day, I am grateful to be in a parish that pushes me, pushes us, outside the normal comfort zone. I am so lucky to be with a team that wants to grow, that wants to learn, that wants to push forward, that wants to share the love of Jesus to all we come to be with. This is a true gift in my life.
